A few months ago I started exchanging emails with a guy on an online dating site. The interest seemed mutual and we met offline. We’ve seen each other about 6 times in the past 5-6 weeks (basically once every weekend), staying in touch with sporadic phone calls and emails in between dates. I feel like it’s been going really well. We have slept together but I’m pretty sure he’s not just interested in sex because we’re also able to engage in good conversation.
Here’s the issue: I know he still logs into his account on the dating site. I know this because I logged in under a fake account I created specifically for the purpose of checking up on him. (I have some issues trusting people due to various fiascoes when I’ve dated other guys.) But leaving that aside, how do I know he’s not on dates (and sleeping) with other girls? And how do I know he’s not “screening” me until someone better comes along online? Is it okay for me to ask him why he’s still logging in? Or is it too early?
