You should always wait for a guy to contact you first (in the early stages of dating obviously.) If he’s interested he will make sure to contact you. If he’s not, he won’t, and you will keep your dignity by not contacting him and being blown off.
It seems to make sense, but maybe guys need a bit of encouragement too and a girl contacting a guy first isn’t a big deal? I’m confused! What do you all think?

I met this guy online and we’ve been talking to each other every night online for about 2 hrs since we met (like a week). He called me once and text some two days ago, but for the most of time we talk online. Do people on dating sites do this if they are not interested in a relationship?
by the way, usually he is the one who starts the conversation, and we’re meeting up in Jan.

Met this girl through an online dating site, we met for drinks and hit it off. She is gorgeous, smart, successful, and there was definitely chemistry between us. A week later, I took her out to dinner and we had a great time. Didn’t hear from her for a couple of days, called her and asked her if she wanted to get together again. She had plans. Waited five days, called her again (expected a no) but she said she wanted to go out again and we met for dinner. We had an amazing kiss at the end of dinner and I thought things went really well (this was Sunday). And she said she definitely wanted to get together again. Sent her a text when I got home telling her that I had fun. She didn’t respond. I sent her an email about this place I want to take her to this weekend. No response.
Whats going on here? If she isn’t interested, why the long kiss? Why three dates? Why talk about the next date?
Am I being too aggressive by calling/texting? I’m not calling everyday (more like once per 4 days) but I feel like I’m the only one making the effort.
I like her. I’m hoping things continue but I’m confused.
The question now is how best to handle this situation.
Should I tell her that I am getting mixed signals and ask her whats what?
Just not call her and wait for her call/text/email and if she doesn’t then oh well?
Just call her again and tell her about this cool place I want to take her and if she wants to get together this weekend?
Tell her that I am not feeling like she is interested and that I am moving on?
So what does the world think?

so I am on an online dating/friend site, and I checked some people’s profile. So few days after, I believe I saw the guy I’ve viewed on my way to school (took the same bus and I’ve seen him like 4 times on the bus…)
Is it ok for me to send him message to tell him that? (something like I think I saw him on the bus). Or I should just keep it secret?

I met a woman through online dating site and we were sending emails back and forth all day Sunday. On Monday morning I got the last one she sent the night before since I went to bed and I decided to send her my cell number since I wanted to get to know more about her. I of course said she could txt me or call or I could call or txt first if she rather me do that. I also said if she not comfortable with phone numbers yet then I understand and can email from the site till she does get comfortable. The thing is the dating site lets me know if she has read the email or not and she has already read the email and no response yet. How soon should I contact again and what should I say this time around. The first time we were emailing she seemed interested since she asked questions and answered my questions.

There’s this girl i really thought i had a shot at dating. We “went out” for about a week but we never got the chance to spend real time together alone (outside of school). She said she wanted to “get to know me better” before we resumed dating but she never makes any effort to spend time together. Am I wasting my time?
