Is it true that if you have been dating someone over a certain period of time you are leagally married? I hear that if you have been dating your signifcant other for over a certain amount of years then by some sort of state law you are legally married? If so, in which state, and what does the law actually state?

I have a difficult situation - I had a very bad breakup almost a year ago with a guy I went to university with. He abused me emotionally, and once psychially. I haven’t had any dates since him, and I withdrew from school because of the stress he was causing me. I am very bored because I don’t know anyone in the neighbourhood who’s my own age, and my friends are too busy. The only option for socializing is the Internet, but I don’t want to go to a site where my ex won’t be. I know he’s on PlentyOfFish.com, and I thought the site was kind of lame and immature. I want a site where I can meet people my own age and possibly get dates, but I don’t want a site where people rate pictures of each other or a site that’s only focused on sex. I tried Lavalife, and hated it. Can anyone recommend a free dating or social networking site with people 18 - 25 in Canada, college/university students and with intelligent message boards and a large porportion of males? Please help!!

he denided that he signed up for it. The next day he told me that he had signed up but was just to look at pictures. This really bothers me since he built a profile and all. His bio said he had two little girls and wasn’t real sure what he was looking for in a woman. Should I be worried. He swears that it was just to look at pictures. And disabled it in front of me but I come home today and found more dating sites on our computer. He’s also started clearing the internet history but he swears he dosen’t know how. But when I looked at it things that I had visited this morning we not on there. What should I do am worried and angry.

Ok, I want to try this “online” dating thing… up to now, I’ve been trying Yahoo!’s Chat Rooms to see if I can find a serious girl that wants to go out and get to know each other (of course, in my area)…. Where should I go (online) to find serious dating (that is totally free)?

What do women lie about? What do men lie about? As a woman I have found that guys lie about their income (greatly exagerated, guy makes 75k a year but lives in a cheap one bedroom apartment), and divorces (they fail to mention how many times they have been divorced). I would think that women lie about their weight.
